Visiting Overseas Couples

If you want to get married in Sydney or Hunter Valley, Australia and you live overseas, coming for a holiday and wanting to get married and enjoy a beautiful honeymoon in Australia then you are looking in the right place.

Anyone can get married in Australia as the process here is very easy and affordable and what better place than Sydney to plan your wedding.

Sydney has some of the world's most beautiful beaches, parks, headlands and of course Sydney Harbour speaks for itself and you will have beautiful photos for a lifetime.

I have married couples from Lithuania, England, Wales, Switzerland, The Czech Republic, Scotland, Maldives, Thailand, Greece, Ireland, China, USA, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Netherlands, Russia, Italy, Canada, New Zealand, Sweden, Indonesia, Hungary, Spain, South Africa, Egypt, Zimbabwe, Kenya, Fiji, Philippines, France, Germany, Iraq, India, Spain, Lebanon, Romania, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, India, Ireland, Scotland, Poland,  and I am adding to the list all the time.

Just about all the paperwork can be done via email these days. The only requirement is that you sign and have The Notice of Intended Marriage – NOIM  witnessed by an authorised person either from the Australian Embassy or (see the notice for who can witness your signatures) in your country and then scan and email to me and keep the original or send the original to me. This needs to be done at least a month prior to your ceremony date. You can then bring your original notice and documents plus your overseas passports with you so they can be sighted by me prior to the ceremony.

Everything else can be done online or when you arrive in Sydney. If either of you have been married before I will also need to sight your original divorce papers or death certificate, if these are not in english they must be translated by a registered translator website.  www.naati.com.au

After the ceremony I will register your marriage online the same day as your wedding and give you the registered number.

Migrating to Australia

If your fiancé wishes to enter Australia under the prospective marriage (fiancé) plan etc, I can supply a suitable letter for the Australian Consulate at our first meeting. Only one person needs to come to the initial interview to complete the legal forms or these can be done overseas too. For couples that are overseas prior to their wedding, all the arrangements can be completed via email.

Other requirements

Your country may also require an Apostile stamp. Check with your embassy if you require this. If you do, this can be applied for at the Department of Foreign Affairs while you are visiting Sydney insert Dept of Foreign affairs website website and I will explain further once we meet, it is an easy process so just check with your embassy before you come and the cost of this is approximately $60.00 for countries that are part of the commonwealth you do not require this.
